About the show: James “B’fer” Roth and Chris “Ka-V” Haake, and their crew of Treehouse Guys travel the country to create amazing custom treehouses for families, communities, nature lovers and dreamers.  The show is produced by Orion Entertainment based in Littleton, Colorado.

In April 2016, The Discovery Museums broke ground on Discovery Woods, a 1-acre accessible nature playscape anchored by the beautiful, whimsical, 550-square foot, fully-accessible Discovery Treehouse.

Designed and built by The Treehouse Guys of Warren Vermont, the construction of the Discovery Treehouse was filmed between April and late June, 2016. Museum staff, a local “host family,” and a number of museum visitors were featured in the filming, along with the construction crew and The Treehouse Guys. The treehouse opened to the public in July.

Significant funding for Discovery Woods and the Discovery Treehouse was generously committed by The Manton Foundation, the Sangreal Foundation, and the Institute for Museum and Library Services, as well as many families, foundations, and corporations who share the Museums’ goal to get kids and families playing outside and invested in stewardship of local natural environments.
