Free Community Day!
Join us for free admission on Community Day—our Thank You to the community as we celebrate our 40th anniversary! In the morning, we'll kick off the festivities by making one-of-a-kind noisemakers. Then, join us on a celebratory parade to our cake-cutting ceremony at 11:00am, led by a special guest from the Maynard Public Library.
Throughout the day, try your hand at some classic Discovery Museum activities such as Balls & Ramps, Cup Towers, a "Discovery Quest" scavenger hunt, and more! (Please note that the performance of Dhol-Tasha Lezim has been cancelled, unfortunately.)
State and local officials will be on site for the cake-cutting ceremony at 11am. Mini cupcakes donated by Concord Teacakes will be served to visitors. An ice cream truck will be on site noon to 3:00pm.
A free shuttle to overflow parking at Congregation Beth Elohim, 133 Prospect Street in Acton, will run continuously from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Congregation Beth Elohim is .8 miles from the Museum.
Admission will be free all day; advance reservations are required to visit and can be made 10 days in advance. Inclement weather may result in changes to or cancellation of some activities.
