Unity in Motion: Lincoln Public Schools Dance Team

Discovery Museum is excited to welcome youth dancers from Unity in Motion, the first-ever dance team of Lincoln Public Schools. Unity in Motion was formed in 2024 with the purpose of celebrating diversity through the art of dance. The METCO program partnered with seArts, a program which brings dance empowerment programs to students, and the dance team is led by dance teacher Sakina Flint. Comprised of students from grades 2-7 who come from a variety of cultural backgrounds, Unity in Motion embodies creativity, inclusivity, and teamwork. This group uses dance as a medium to build connections, foster cultural awareness, and highlight the unique talents of each member. As a trailblazing program for LPS, Unity in Motion is proud to inspire unity and community through movement, paving the way for future opportunities to honor diversity.
